Sapphire FUE

Sapphire FUE

Finer channels with sapphire blades.

Sapphire FUE is an advanced version of the FUE technique in which the recipient channels are opened with blades made of sapphire crystal instead of steel. Because the sapphire tip is sharper and smoother, channels are finer and V-shaped; tissue damage is reduced, grafts can be placed closer together and healing is faster.

At our clinic Sapphire FUE is performed with up to 5,000 grafts in a single session; it is our first choice for patients who want to cover large areas with natural density.

Benefits

  • Denser packing: fine V-shaped channels allow more grafts per cm² for a fuller look.
  • Less tissue damage: the sapphire tip cuts rather than tears; less bleeding and swelling.
  • Fast healing: scabs fall off in 7–10 days and redness clears sooner.
  • Natural direction and angle: the angle of every channel follows the natural growth direction of your hair.
  • High graft capacity: 4,000–5,000 grafts in one session cover large areas in a single trip.

The process step by step

  1. Online analysis: graft count and price from your photos within 24 hours, free of charge.
  2. Day 1 — consultation and design: blood tests, hairline design, donor assessment and graft distribution plan.
  3. Day 2 — procedure (6–8 hours): local anaesthesia; grafts harvested with a micro-motor, channels opened with sapphire blades and follicles placed with forceps, with a lunch break.
  4. Day 3 — check-up and first wash: dressing removed, wash at the clinic, care kit and instructions; PRP application.
  5. Follow-up: scabs fall off by day 10, shock loss in weeks 2–4, growth from month 3, full result at 12 months; online photo follow-up.

Who is it for?

Ideal for men with large areas of loss at the front and crown (Norwood 3–6) who want maximum coverage in one session. Sufficient donor density at the back of the head is essential; for patients with a weak donor area, beard grafts can be planned as a supplement. Blood-thinner use, uncontrolled chronic disease and active scalp infection are assessed first.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Sapphire FUE and classic FUE?

The only difference is the blade used to open the channels: sapphire instead of steel. Sapphire opens finer, smoother channels for a denser result and faster healing. The harvesting stage is the same.

How many grafts can be transplanted in one session?

4,000–5,000 depending on donor capacity. If more are needed, a second session is planned after 8–12 months.

When can I fly after the procedure?

You can fly the day after the procedure (day 3), once the first wash and check-up are done. We recommend a neck pillow so the headrest does not touch the recipient area.

What does the price include?

Procedure, hospital, 3 nights hotel, VIP transfers, medication, care kit, PRP, first wash and 12 months of online follow-up. There is no per-graft surcharge; maximum grafts at one fixed price.
